Amarillo Small Animal
Public Health Concerns
Welcome to the Small Animal Emergency Clinic in Amarillo, Texas. We have been providing veterinary urgent care to the Texas Panhandle since 2000. The veterinarians and staff at the SAEC are committed to providing you and your pet with the best care available—at times when most regular veterinary facilities are closed. We are open every night from 6:30 until 7:30 the following morning, from 6:30 Friday evening continuously until 7:30 Monday morning, and 24 hours on every major holiday.
Our Mission Statement:
Our mission at the Small Animal Emergency Clinic is to provide high-quality, compassionate emergency veterinary care for small animals during evenings, nights, weekends, and major holidays.

We are an emergency clinic only; we do not provide routine veterinary care such as vaccinations or flea and tick prevention. (We highly recommend that you stay current on these routine treatments, but we will refer you to your regular veterinarian for them.) Because we are open during "off-hours," our emergency fee is higher than the office visit fee at some regular veterinary offices. The SAEC emergency fee is as follows, and any additional treatment or medication we offer is in addition to the emergency fee:
between 7:30am and 10:00pm: $90.00
between 10:00pm and 7:30am: $130.00
Payment in full is due at the time services are rendered; we do, however, accept CareCredit. You can apply for a CareCredit account either by going to the CareCredit website at www.carecredit.com or by calling 1-800-365-8295. You should find out within 15 minutes or less whether you have been approved.
