Shifts at the emergency clinic are usually 12 hours long, but sometimes a vet will work an 18-hour shift on the weekend or on a holiday. Usually, shift change for veterinarians occurs at 7:30am and 7:30pm. If your pet has been hospitalized during the weekend, your pet may be seen by more than one veterinarian; if your pet's hospitalization extends past a shift change, the vet who has been working will thoroughly update the one coming on-duty about your pet's case before he or she leaves.

The following are veterinarians who regularly work shifts at the SAEC. Occasionally, other vets from the area may work shifts as needed.
